What: Alfaro & Alfaro/INSURENEX is co-sponsor of the Salvadoran American Business Association-S.A.B.A. Breakfast Presentation on CAFTA and El Salvador. The presentation was given by Mr. Hector Dada Sanchez, who holds a Masters in Economics from Oxford University in England and is President of the consulting firm ASOCIA; Mr. Sanchez traveled from El Salvador exclusively for the breakfast presentation. The presentation was attended by community business leaders and business owners from Southern California. Los Angeles is home to over 1 million Salvadorans of which, according to recent studies, 15% are business owners. The presentation included an overview of the CAFTA agreement between El Salvador and the United States, the challenges faced by Central American countries, and the commercial opportunities that CAFTA represents to El Salvador and the region as a whole. “The signing of CAFTA between El Salvador and the United States will create both opportunities as well as challenges. At Alfaro & Alfaro/INSURENEX, we believe that this type of events help promote a better of understanding of those challenges and opportunities for businesses looking to expand or looking to protect their interest.” said Carlos E.
